Hello, I am Ashkar Gomez, the Founder & CEO of 7 Eagles. We are a growth marketing agency to help brands grow their business for maximum ROI.
Our team of professionals is an expert in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Growth & performance marketing services. Throughout our years of service, we have helped over 100 brands spanning over 10+ countries.
The good thing about entrepreneurship is that, here, not only do I grow, I make those around me grow as well.
As a growth marketing agency, we provide brands with the best marketing strategies to attract and add maximum retainers and advocates for their brand. We focus on pirate funnel growth and optimize campaigns to promote 1000%+ growth.
Today we are a company with around 25 marketing experts, flagged a revenue of $100,000 as of the 2022 annual calendar. Planning to launch our offices in global locations by 2023.
What's your backstory, and how did you come up with the idea?
I got the idea to launch a marketing agency 3.5 years ago when I was a content marketing manager at my previous company. At that time, the market didn’t have a holistic agency to provide SEO services; that is, they didn’t have a separate agency that only focused on SEO services. SEO was just a part of the digital marketing services they provided.
Whereas, agencies in northern America were niche dowing their SEO services like Technical SEO, Link building services, Local SEO, On-Page SEO, SEO audit, etc. Such a website made sparked into our brain when we say, an agency charged $9100 for a site audit. In contrast, we were providing them for free.
Apart from content writing, I had a huge craze for SEO services. I learned all that there is about SEO on my own. I did not go to any classes or training. All the talent I have now is a result of self-learning and experience.
Many digital marketing agencies I know of focus more on ads and social media marketing and pay less attention to SEO. But we, at 7 Eagles, focus entirely on SEO services and aim to get our clients' organic traffic and quality leads.
We have separate teams for on-page, off-page, technical, and research. Doing so helped us focus purely on SEO and give the best SEO services to our clients. It wouldn’t be too much to say that more than 70% of our revenue came from SEO.
My love for SEO pushed me to do more than be an employee at a firm. I wanted to use my learning and help other brands reach their marketing goals. So, I started 7 Eagles as a side hustle and offered only SEO & WordPress services to my clients.
Since mid-2022, we started exploring the next phase of roar with Growth marketing as a service. As a digital marketing agency that only provided SEO services for its clients all these years, we decided to step into growth marketing and provide an omnichannel marketing service for our clients.
It is with this thought in mind that we have rebranded ourselves and are leaning towards other digital marketing services apart from SEO. As of now, we have teams for content writing, social media, emails, website development, etc. We use tried and tested methods to find which channel works best for a brand and focus on them to give our clients the desired results.
We are starting to get more clients from all over the world and will strive to increase our client base even more.
Take us through the process of building the first version of your product.
When I first decided to learn SEO and start my marketing agency, I faced a lot of challenges. SEO is not an easy subject to learn. There are so many technicalities that you have to master to give your clients the best results. And learning all that without the support of a mentor can be quite a challenge.
But I went through all that and learned it. I definitely won’t say that I am now a master of SEO, but I can say that I have what it takes to provide my clients with the best SEO services.
Once I focused on starting an SEO agency, I had interviews with many other SEO executives and specialists from the industry. I found that they didn’t have enough knowledge about SEO to help Western countries (as most of our clients are from Western countries).
My dream of starting my very own marketing agency came true in 2019. I opened it as a single person and started providing marketing services for my clients. I provided SEO and content marketing services on my own.
I got my first client through a friend, and after getting positive reviews from them, I started pitching our services on Facebook Groups and got my second and third clients from it. As days went by, I started getting more clients through referrals, SEO, and LinkedIn.
As clients started to grow, I began hiring employees for my company. I started training them and created a team that thinks and works like me regarding SEO. This was the first step I took when I started my agency.
And whenever we fall short of clients or have some free time, we start working on developing our website and optimizing it. We focused on increasing our website traffic, and this has brought us at least 3 to 5 conversions per month from Western countries, especially regarding Technical SEO.

Apart from this, we also built our very own SEO Checklist containing our entire process for SEO services. This was to ensure that when our SEO executives work, they have a checklist that they can refer to and ensure they have followed every step of the process. This made it easier for us to deliver outstanding results to our clients and distinguish us from other agencies.
Our days were pretty loaded, but we had fun, learned a lot, and started expanding our business gradually. As of today, we have grown to a reasonable degree and are getting more clients for our services.
Since last year, we are focusing much on providing Growth marketing services for our clients through a data-driven approach and working on channels that work for their business.
Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?
During the initial period, I invested a lot of time in building systems, checklists, processes, and formats. This helped us determine the issues and drawbacks of our client’s websites. Now, the system I have built helps us produce valuable results for our clients to retain them for a longer period.
Finding the right audience for our agency was also an elaborate process. As a marketing agency based out of Chennai, we first targeted local and Indian clients for our business. But as days went on, we found they this was not the market that would help us grow.
So, we started shifting our attention to Western countries like US and Canada. We got our first few clients from Canada. After seeing our exceptional work in SEO, they suggested us to their network and got us more clients. This is how we established ourselves in the US and Canadian markets.
As our client base grew, I started employing more members into our team and focused solely on SEO services. This also increased the rate of conversions we had, and 90% of the time, when new customers reach out to our website and connect to us, we have successfully converted them into our clients.
The only reason we couldn’t convert them would be our pricing. From the start of our company, we paid more attention to pricing and focused on getting premium clients for our agency. Of course, we provide SEO services worth each penny our clients pay. We use several SEO premium tools and other related marketing tools to give the best results for them.
We primarily focus on a few sectors like
- Real Estate
- Interior designing
- Food industry (FMCG), and many more
We are also active on social media platforms like LinkedIn. Several clients visit our profiles and seek us for our services. Initially, we mainly focused on SEO content for our social media, but since we have upped our game and entered growth marketing, we also publish content related to growth marketing in our posts.
We are working towards building a topical authority for SEO and Growth marketing. That’s the reason why we are getting more traffic for these keywords and converting the right audience for our business.
On average, we get a minimum of 4 to 5 clients a month through SEO and convert at least 2 clients monthly through social media. Currently, we are only focusing on acquiring this number of clients and are working towards building our client base as we grow.
How are you doing today, and what does the future look like?
I am happy and grateful for what I am today. I believe we will grow further in the coming years and become one of Global's best growth marketing agencies.
We are starting to get more clients from all over the world and will strive to increase our client base even more. We see many people who search for 7 eagles every day, and the numbers just keep rising.
We are targeting to achieve 1 million dollars by the end of this year and reach more clients. We are now a 25-member team and are expanding very quickly to reach the 100-member threshold by this year's end.
Very soon, through the hard work and perseverance of our team members, we believe that 7 Eagles will become synonymous with Growth marketing services.
Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?
Entrepreneurship was and is a wonderful and enlightening experience for me. It is all about learning new things every day, as it is filled with ample puzzles to solve every moment. It’s inspiring, intriguing, and, most of all, satisfying to know that you have put your efforts and learning to good use.
It inspires me to run every second without any pain in my heart and tears in my eyes. The good thing about entrepreneurship is that, here, not only do I grow, I make those around me grow as well. “You grow; I grow” is my motto, and I believe every startup should follow it as well.
What platform/tools do you use for your business?
We, at 7 Eagles, are mostly into SEO services. So we use the necessary SEO tools that will give us the maximum support and leverage to boost up the business of our clients.
We use tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, Facebook Ads Library, Audience Insights, Hotjar, Screaming Frog, Rank Math, WP Rocket, SimilarWeb, Google Keyword Planner, and many more to get the best results and provide the best services for our clients.
We also use Team & Task Management tools to track our schedule and manage our work accordingly. We also use several websites, social media platforms, and CRM tools to build relationships between our clients and their customers.
What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?
Books have been a great inspiration for me throughout my life. Right from my childhood, I have loved reading books that can inspire positivity and self-motivation in people. Here are some books that have played a great role in shaping who I am today.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting?
Thinking of becoming an entrepreneur is too hard, so start today. But be sure you have ample funds in an emergency to feed your family minimum for 2 years. Don’t rush to put all your money into opening your startup. Have some backup emergency funds.
If you look to start entrepreneurship soon, become a minimalist, and live under your mean. Start simple and be straightforward. This is what you should follow when you enter entrepreneurship. Don’t be lavish and dry up your funds. You never know when you will have an emergency.
