No Code SaaS & App Ideas

Andrew Fennell, the founder of Standout CV, built and scaled the business without traditional tabling venture capital, relying instead on 'bootstrapped SaaS growth', which suggests an emphasis on no-code solutions to streamline operations.

As a self-taught programmer, Malcolm built the entire application without outsourcing, enabling him to develop a no-code solution that lowers costs and increases flexibility.

Mohamad started Hawk Prospecting using no/low-code tools. He built the platform primarily with Bubble, a no-code tool, which allowed him to create both front-end and back-end functionalities without needing extensive coding knowledge. This approach enabled him to bring his SaaS product to market quickly and cost-effectively, spending only $300 on a freelance developer for some final features instead of the $50K initially quoted for full development.

"In our first year of operation, we didn’t yet have an app. Initially, we had only a half-working website and an email newsletter! So we focused on getting the website working and relied on the emails as a way to stay relevant and engage our future users. So we operated as an agency, so to speak. We could have just done nothing and waited for the app to be done. But it was invaluable to try to operate a SaaS company minus the web app because we learned so much about the marketing processes we were striving to help."

Muhammad and Tauan developed the initial version of Logo Bot by leveraging AI tools for logo generation without heavily relying on traditional coding. They used AI to transform user-provided information into logo designs, demonstrating a scrappy approach typical of no-code development.

Spokeo was launched without venture capital and had to pivot from a social media aggregator to a subscription-based model, indicating a reliance on no-code principles while building the initial platform.

Ruben Hassid built EasyGen by harnessing his expertise in AI and prompt engineering to create a practical content generation tool. The development began from his personal need to manage content efficiently, resulting in a system of "language models talking to each other," which he iteratively refined over several months.
