Who are you and what business did you start?

I'm Denis Kirichenko, founder of Voiset.io, a new AI planner that saves up to 30% of time on task planning through voice input technology. We make it easy to turn ideas into tasks instantly.

Our main users are entrepreneurs, business professionals, and people who are always on the move: real estate agents who capture property notes quickly, construction teams, insurance workers, and anyone who works in the field. We also help people with ADHD who struggle with traditional planning tools. Many users simply prefer to plan by voice.

What makes us special is our simplicity. Unlike competitors, creating a task takes just one click. We listen carefully to our customers to understand what they need.

How do you come up with the idea for Voiset?

The first seeds of Voiset were planted 10 years ago when I started managing multiple projects alongside my main job. I used Jira for development work and Google Calendar for personal projects, but switching between systems while on the move was frustrating. Voice-to-text technology wasn't good enough back then to help.

The "aha moment" came 5 years ago when AI technology finally became practical for planning. I was already using voice messages in messengers for routine work and realized: why can't task planning be this simple? I noticed that big players like Asana and Monday were too heavy for busy people who just need to capture ideas quickly.

We built a basic POC that let you press one button and say "Alice, I need to prepare a presentation for our Czech clients by Friday." It worked. Our team started using it daily, and we stopped losing ideas and thoughts. By late 2023, we had a working version. We tested it with small business owners because 70% of small businesses use messengers to run their operations. The feedback was clear: this solves a real problem.

My 12 years in software development taught me that complexity kills adoption. Our AI learns from each user's behavior and context, automatically finding the best time to schedule tasks. We focus on one thing: making task creation effortless for people in motion.

How did you launch Voiset and get initial traction?

Like many technical startups, we made a classic mistake: building the product first, marketing second. Our biggest error? We launched on the wrong domain and spent months on SEO before realizing we needed to start over.

To validate our idea, we set up a booth at We Make Future conference in Italy in 2023. For three days, I talked to people and collected feedback. The positive response was incredible.

A month later, we added subscriptions with a 2-week trial. In September, first registrations came in. A couple of weeks later, we got our first paying customer. The lesson? Talk to real users early, and don't waste time on the wrong foundation.

What was the growth strategy for Voiset and how did you scale?

After our launch mistakes, we learned a critical lesson: choose your growth strategy carefully and stick with it. We tried different approaches, but eventually focused on what works long-term: SEO and direct relationships.

We bought the right domain and launched our proper website on a builder platform, which allowed our designer to work independently. Then came our biggest decision: SEO-only strategy. No paid ads, no quick wins. This was risky in a competitive space with giants like Asana and Monday, and we didn't account for Google's sandbox period. But we believed in building sustainable growth.

Our SEO approach is relationship-based. We actively connect with bloggers, news sites, and industry publications to share our story and expertise. We write guest posts about productivity, AI planning, and voice technology. We comment on relevant discussions and provide real value before asking for backlinks. This takes time, but creates authentic connections.

We also focus on direct work with business professionals globally. When users sign up for trial, we require card details upfront. This filters for serious users and allows us to provide the highest level of personal support. We contact every new user, analyze their feedback, and often release updates within days based on their needs.

Our growth is organic but steady. Each satisfied customer becomes a case study, each blogger relationship brings targeted traffic, each SEO improvement compounds over time. We learned that in a crowded market, patience and authenticity matter more than quick marketing tricks.

My advice for aspiring entrepreneurs: pick one growth channel, master it completely, and be patient. We chose SEO and relationships over paid ads. It's slower, but the results last.

What were the biggest lessons learned from building Voiset?

Timing helped us enormously. When we started, ChatGPT wasn't widely known. Now AI is everywhere, lifting the entire productivity market. When ChatGPT and Telegram launched their task managers, we panicked. But we realized something important: people choose what fits their needs. There's room for different approaches.

Marketing is slow and tedious, but consistency wins. We wasted months on the wrong domain. Start with the right foundation. Don't panic when big players enter your space. We focus on simplicity and voice-first planning. That's our lane. AI technology changes constantly. Stay curious and keep learning. Upgrade your skills every month.

My advice: pick one growth channel and master it. Talk to users constantly. Build what people need, not what's technically impressive. Stay patient. Real growth takes years. Keep learning or fall behind.

The biggest mistake I see entrepreneurs make? Chasing every trend instead of focusing on one clear direction. Pick your path and commit.
