We Doubled Revenue For Our Marketing Agency To $90K/Month [Update]

Tell us about what you’ve been up to! Has the business been growing?
Salt Water Digital has more than doubled in revenue since I originally submitted our story to Starter Story.
We continue to rely on the same traffic sources, although I have taken a big step away from Twitter so we get far fewer leads from that channel. Organic SEO, local SEO and referrals continue to make up the vast majority of our leads.
Right now I am working a little bit more than I would like to. I have little ones and so does my business partner and we're trying to gear down in terms of growth. When we started Salt Water Digital I think I had something to prove. We had internal goals and we've cruised by those and the objective to build a big (whatever that means) business seems to be less important.
instead we want to build a great business, that does a great job of serving our clients with great employees that doesn't require us to work 50 or 60 hours a week. My business partner joked "if we continue at this rate I'll be the full time birthday party planner". Something neither of us want. So we're trying to strike a balance. Improve our systems, empower our people, slow down growth and build it in a sustainable way.
I'm not sure what the future holds for Salt Water Digital but for now we're enjoying the ride.
