Anne Wojcicki, Paul Cusenza & Linda Ave co-founded 23andMe, a leading DNA genetic testing and research company, in 2006.

The company’s mission is to help people access, understand, and benefit from the human genome.

23andMe is the only firm with numerous FDA authorizations for over-the-counter genetic health risk reports, and in particular, the only company that is FDA permitted to deliver.

Without the assistance of a physician, the firm gives genetic cancer risk reports and pharmacological insights on how individuals may metabolize certain regularly given drugs, depending on their DNA.

Anne, the co-founder, and CEO of this consumer genetics company worked as a healthcare consultant at Passport Capital, a San Francisco-based investment fund, after graduating. She worked as a healthcare investment analyst for four years, handling healthcare investments and focusing on biotechnology firms.

After being founded in 2006, the company has come a long way. They are having a high YoY growth and expanding their business in other health sectors.

Their 2022 fiscal year was pivotal for 23andMe, and it ended Q4 FY2022 with cash of $553 million, compared to $282 million as of March 31, 2021.
