Christian Angermayer is an English-born German entrepreneur and investor. He dropped out of university and founded a biotech business with two university professors.

Angermayer received €13 million in July 2020 for facilitating SoftBank’s contentious $1.1 billion investment in Wirecard.

Wirecard gave Angermayer an €11.25 million “success fee,” or 1.25 percent of the €900 million raised. Angermayer was also paid roughly €2 million by SoftBank Investment Advisers, which administers the group’s $100 billion Vision Fund.
