Chadwick Ryan Boseman (born February 5, 1977) is an American actor, film producer, and author.

Chadwick Boseman is the first black actor to portray a lead superhero in a major motion picture. He played the lead in the acclaimed Black Panther movie.

Chadwick began gaining success in 2002–2003 with minor roles in drama series, some of which included Hotchner in an episode of CSI: Miami and Ronnie Bass in an episode of Law & Order. His big-screen break would come with the lead role of Thurgood Stubbs in the 2004 television film adaptation of the 1959 Broadway musical The Piano Lesson, earning him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie.
