going to have our producer tell you about this one So hey Pat do you want to hear like a crazy story

Sure Go for it So remember this guy Nevo We interviewed him like five months ago

Yeah Yep I remember him Yeah He built this app Posties It's like this

social media scheduling tool Back then the video was called like open source SaaS or something like

Okay So why are we talking about it Check out these tweets February he made 41 000 MRR

March 76 000 April 80 000 May 109 000 Late June 140 000 MRR

Whoa This seems almost too good to be true What did he do

Okay So I got on a call with him and he broke everything down Like what happened

how he did it what he learned And I think all this stuff would be really awesome to like bring

back on the channel What do you think You want to interview him

Yes absolutely Let's get him on In this episode you're going to learn the app that's

now making over 140 000 a month The one piece of content that really changed everything for

his business and exactly how he grew his business almost 10X so fast All right

right let's get into it I'm Gus And I'm Pat And this is Starter Story

Nevo welcome back to the channel Just remind people watching here who you are

what you built and what's your story Hi Pat Thank you for having me back here

My name is Nevo and I grew my startup Posties to 143K in MRR in less than two years It took me

one and a half year to grow Posties to 21K MRR And then in four months it skyrocketed to 143K

growing by around 1K MRR every day That's awesome Let's get into the business part

For people who didn't watch the last video which you totally should go watch the last video Can

you just kind of remind us what Posties is and like kind of how it works For sure So actually

Posties changed Posties was a social media scheduling tool that let you post to 30 plus

platforms And we completely pivoted the whole thing to be an agentic social media scheduling

tool So now when you want to schedule posts to social media you don't just go to Posties and

click and schedule You do it with agentic tools like Claude OpenClaw Hermes Agent

ChatGPT and so on Nice That's awesome And can you pull up like your revenue dashboard

Stripe or whatever just to kind of show off the growth for the audience and obviously to prove

that this is like legit Yeah for sure So we can see here that Posties now it's on 143K MRR

And this is kind of the time that OpenClaw came into our life So here I was at around 17K

our last recording So we have 4 271 subscribers that make Posties And since we changed to the

whole agentic stuff we dramatically decreased our churn to 13 7 You can see at the top

it was 26 and 28 That is actual hockey stick right there You know they talk about hockey

stick growth That actually is like a true hockey stick right there That's crazy So this change

I mean this isn't normal for businesses to experience this You pivoted the app to become

an agentic SaaS Can you dig in a little bit more about what that means so people watching it can

maybe consider doing something similar So a few months ago there was a nice guy

named Peter that released a tool called OpenClaw And I'm like a hype guy So if I see some hype

I always trying to understand if I can somehow use it for Posties just to grow the business

And I just lean into OpenClaw and put all the tools out there in order to make it agentic ready

And a few days later there was a guy on X his name is Oliver Henry He was making money for his

app Snuggly on TikTok And he said he's doing it 100 automatically with OpenClaw and Posties So

he created an article on X and this article got 7 2 million views And this brought me to a

nonstop And then he released another article And this article again

got like one and a half million views And my MRR started to grow every day And since then

all I'm doing is just more and more agentic stuff for Posties

What Nevo is sharing right now is insane This is like the ultimate

ultimate SaaS right here He grew his app almost 10X in just a few months which is almost unheard of

And when I see stories like this I get so excited And it made me want to put something together

Okay you notice this thing this article that was written about you

and then you went even harder into it From the marketing side of things

things I think it would be interesting to hear about how you saw that how you planned that out

like your plan of action to double down on this trend or just this little signal you got

Basically I was really surprised how this person can get 7 million views

so I also wrote an article about OpenClaw and how to use it with posties

I had 200 followers and I got half a million views also

And I realized that X started to become an interest platform

If there is a few people that are looking for a specific type of content

and I talk about this content X will try to show me to that specific people

And because OpenClaw was just like booming on X so I was like

okay this is like a really big opportunity because everything now that I'm going to write

is going to be shown to so many people And I wrote another article with another

half a million views And then I was like okay

but there is something even more here because why articles are so booming compared to posts

It was some kind of thing that X is trying to push articles because people spend more time

reading articles compared to normal posts So I was like okay

I'm in the peak of all this trending stuff Let's try to scale this article stuff

So I just like go to these other companies that are getting so many views and stuff

click on view activity so all these influencers started to send a message

Can I book you for a paid promotion repost Of course it's a paid promotion tag

like with X and everything And then every time I have an article

article with my creator I have like 20 other reposters reposting the article

article So it's just insane what you can do with a little bit of growth hacks

First of all I love that you sort of like reverse engineered this multiple times

And I think a lot of people watching this might be like

you were just lucky with the open cloth thing What advice would you have to them now that

you've experienced this on how they could potentially do the same find a trend and

build a million dollar business like you have For sure So I think first of all

almost any possible SaaS should have an API Just take all your public API

create an MD file and make it ready for agents All you need to do once you have the MD file

is to list it in every possible place that you can

So you can go to Claude and chat GPT marketplaces and you can list your MD file there

And this is exactly what I did and brought me also so much traffic

The second thing is you should build before and then wait for the trend to happen and not build

when the trends happens And this is what I did So you can build right now and just like

wait for the thing to happen compared to just do it when it happens

And then somebody else is probably going to eat the cake

Also the thing about agenting and why you want to be agentic is because it's actually

not that of a big market It's not the boomer audience It's a really really really early

adapter And then the other thing is that when you pivot to something agentic you're usually

going to solve a lot of churn for your app Because if you think about it it's when people

use posties before and wrote posts themselves they would need to go every day click

start to write the post iterate with AI might take them a lot of time

Today if they even have some source of content somewhere they can just feed it to the LLM

and create like an entire week of marketing stuff every day basically

And yeah I think this is the advice you should follow

If you were to tell me that AI agents would create less churn I wouldn't have believed

you But now it makes more sense because churn is typically caused by some human who decides not

to do that human thing anymore But now the AI agents are doing it automatic every single day

without any intervention So the churn is less So that's a super cool thing that I never thought

about before That's so awesome So I'm curious to know

how has running the business changed now that posties has had this kind of insane growth

So money changes people No I'm kidding But money really changes the business

You can now afford a lot more stuff than what you could do before I would take an influencer

and book him to make a quote repost for posties for between 60 to 350 And it's not cheap

especially when you're going with scale So all this marketing stuff you can now do a lot more

than you could do before Also I hired a few people now This is something that people don't

talk about so much but with 17K MRR you can't really hire anybody So now I can I hired two

people one for support and one for development So yeah it's really a nice thing that they

couldn't do before Cool And then yeah what's kind of your final piece of advice for someone

watching who maybe has a business that's growing maybe not as fast as yours but someone who's in

this growth mode What would be your final piece of advice to someone like that

You need to make your app super reliable So I at some point stopped making new features

That's it I know that if there's a new feature there's going to be bugs I want the app to be

perfect I have 30 social media channels that you can schedule posts to I need all of them to work

I can't focus on new stuff before I fix the old stuff And I think the apps that are going to win

are the ones that don't break The thing you mentioned about your app needing to be reliable

I think that's actually really important And to stop building so many features

because every feature you build is another potential for something to break So to have

a really reliable app is really important because agents will somehow know what are the reliable

ones and what are not So how are you thinking about that What do you think the future of

agentic SaaS is So first of all and I'm really hoping Stripe and the other ones will do it soon

that an agent could really complete the purchase themselves So they'll go to JGPT and stuff like

that and just like okay there's posties I buy Right now there is a human in the loop Even if

you add to your CLI and stuff that there is a purchase still I will need to pop up some page

with a Stripe checkout for the founder to actually use this I'm assuming when this happens I'll

make a lot more money It will all be very automated Nice Yeah I've been doing a little

research on this stuff myself and yeah hopefully the next unlock is agent payments Hopefully when

that does happen you'll be ready at the trigger waiting to go with all your X articles and

everything and that will take your business to the whole next level So thanks for coming on Nevo

keeping track of him because I just love to see someone who was doing well and now they're even

crushing it and diving into why What do you think about this sort of like 10X growth that happened

Yeah I mean story in and of itself is awesome right Like I said I've been following his

Twitter and every month since we did his video he posts I did 40K this month and then 80K

then 100K then 140K And I was like what the hell is happening Really cool to not that we

discovered him or anything but kind of to have seen that kind of growth at least online I think

it's really cool Yeah Let's dive into the reason why this thing grew What stuck out to you

I remember that time on Twitter when all these articles are going viral and all the examples he gave

gave And I remember so many times sitting there thinking you know what I should do I should

write an article or do something like this just to like see And I just didn't That's one thing

I'm thinking about is like it's so easy to be like oh yeah he got lucky But if you want this

kind of virality or whatever enough I think the thing that doesn't make it happen is you just

don't do it And that's just that's my example is like I saw this clearly happening the virality

of the articles et cetera And I just didn't do anything So that's just one thing There's the

whole agent stuff that I want to talk about a little bit but that's my first thought

Yeah Yeah It goes back to like we can sit here and we can talk about building products agentically

and doing all this stuff But in my opinion that's kind of boring It's pretty straightforward

Like you could chat GPT into how that works You could do it for your own product right now but

it's probably not going to actually drive revenue for you because you don't have these two things

that he had The first one which you just mentioned is marketing He saw the X articles

and he didn't just build himself He did more X articles He did more marketing So he was more

focused on the marketing of it than the agentic thing So the agentic thing is the vehicle to what

caused his business to grow but that vehicle would have had no gas in it It wouldn't have

gone anywhere if he didn't actually do the marketing And then the other thing that I

think is really really underrated is that he already was building something that solved

problem I see a lot of trend hoppers on here that go Oh I'm just going to build an agentic

thing but no you don't have anything yet You don't have an actual product that's out in the

world that is solving a problem In this example it's social media scheduling and posting which

which then allowed him to create this insane business story Yeah I totally agree He went a little bit

into the future of agents et cetera Purchasing on their own thing was interesting But yeah

what do you think about that I think that's something that someone watching might be

wondering and say okay so all these agents I thought it was a trend Maybe it's not Maybe it

is I don't know What do you think One of the ideas behind agents is that it's something that

can make its own decisions and reason through problems So when you tell an agent go automatically

post on YouTube for me every day and do marketing you're telling an agent to do that And that's all

you've told it Your prompt is just go do it every day That agent has reasoning and it will decide

okay how do I do that Well I got to build it I got to use a tool to actually post it

What tool do I choose At that point an agent is making a decision for a human and a human is

as he mentioned is not in the loop anymore So where I think you can win and where he's

winning right now is that he's sort of one of the first in this space And then his product

will be recommended through LLMs for agents to use And that could be where the business goes

to a million dollars a month if he sort of captures that trend I think that's super

interesting but also who knows It's kind of wild west right now Only time will tell
