I
make
100k
a
year
from
my
side
projects
while
keeping
my
full
time
job
Meet
Ramshree
an
app
builder
from
India
who
runs
two
profitable
AI
side
projects
while
keeping
a
full
time
job
I
only
work
on
my
apps
1
2
hours
a
week
In
this
video
Ramshree
breaks
down
how
he
manages
all
of
this
and
why
he
has
no
plans
to
quit
his
full
time
job
The
reason
I
haven't
quit
my
full
time
job
is…
I
brought
Ramshree
onto
the
channel
to
share
how
he
got
millions
of
users
while
spending
0
on
marketing
his
framework
for
finding
profitable
side
project
ideas
and
the
secret
to
building
any
successful
project
in
AI
Building
with
AI
is
simple
because…
If
If
you're
building
apps
on
the
side
this
episode
is
a
must
watch
I'm
Pat
Walls
and
this
is
Starter
Story
Alright
Ramshree
welcome
to
the
channel
Thank
you
for
coming
on
Tell
me
a
little
bit
about
who
you
are
what
you
built
and
what's
your
story
My
name
is
Ramshree
and
I
build
two
apps
that
make
me
8
500
per
month
I'm
currently
building
these
two
apps
alongside
my
full
time
job
Right
now
I'm
spending
about
two
hours
a
week
on
these
apps
and
they
mostly
run
on
complete
autopilot
Great
Alright
Tell
me
about
some
of
the
numbers
behind
these
businesses
Supermeme
has
done
lifetime
revenue
of
about
130K
USD
and
Question
is
around
100K
USD
Both
of
them
combined
are
at
8
500
so
approximately
a
little
over
100K
ARR
yearly
Coming
to
the
users
1
5
million
plus
users
for
Supermeme
and
about
150K
plus
users
for
Question
Paying
customers
400K
for
Supermeme
and
180K
to
200K
for
Question
What
I
love
about
this
is
that
you're
building
this
on
the
side
You've
decided
to
keep
your
full
time
job
Tell
me
about
what
that's
like
to
build
profitable
projects
while
you
have
a
full
time
job
The
key
during
the
initial
phases
of
development
of
these
two
projects
was
to
assign
one
to
hours
of
daily
learning
and
development
SaaS
has
quite
a
lot
of
components
not
just
about
building
the
tech
aspect
of
it
but
rather
there's
a
whole
suite
of
things
payments
authentication
databases
marketing
SEO
So
it
took
me
a
few
years
to
gain
proficiency
in
all
these
aspects
Consistency
is
the
only
thing
that
helped
Nowadays
with
tools
like
Deep
Research
and
AI
assisted
coding
tools
like
Windsurf
Cursor
it
has
become
a
lot
more
easier
to
build
as
well
as
maintain
these
apps
alongside
whatever
you're
doing
full
time
Nowadays
I
mostly
treat
my
SaaS
apps
like
they
are
in
autopilot
mode
Just
allocate
Saturday
afternoon
couple
of
hours
to
do
updates
or
quick
bug
fixes
Cool
I'm
curious
You
have
these
businesses
that
are
doing
pretty
good
Why
haven't
you
decided
to
go
full
time
you
know
buy
back
all
your
time
And
why
did
you
decide
to
kind
of
keep
your
full
time
job
One
thing
is
that
I
don't
want
to
take
on
VC
funding
or
take
on
the
responsibility
of
hiring
and
maintaining
a
team
for
the
sake
of
growth
and
several
other
aspects
of
life
For
example
I
have
a
kid
retired
parents
So
I
don't
want
people
around
me
to
go
through
the
same
roller
coaster
ride
of
emotions
and
being
always
busy
and
unavailable
lifestyle
I
don't
want
them
to
experience
that
Let's
take
a
step
back
and
talk
a
little
bit
about
your
background
I
know
you've
done
a
bunch
of
different
things
Walk
me
through
your
background
and
how
you
got
into
building
apps
I
was
full
on
on
the
MOOC
revolution
doing
every
technical
course
on
Coursera
Udacity
Udacity
and
all
these
platforms
during
2015
to
2018
phase
And
when
I
started
doing
these
I
started
getting
a
lot
of
ideas
in
the
AI
space
And
I
thought
it's
about
time
for
me
to
experiment
So
2018
to
2020
I
just
got
my
feet
wet
into
entrepreneurship
I
did
not
have
any
entrepreneurship
background
So
I
was
just
testing
the
waters
So
I
started
writing
all
about
my
experiments
on
LinkedIn
and
Twitter
Eventually
people
started
following
me
and
asking
questions
and
waking
up
every
day
and
writing
online
on
these
platforms
became
my
point
of
comfort
And
during
2021
and
2022
is
when
I
took
all
my
learnings
and
launched
a
Udemy
course
And
that
made
like
10
000
in
revenue
till
now
That
was
a
good
turning
point
for
my
let's
say
slow
cooked
entrepreneurship
journey
in
2022
2023
I
learned
no
code
tools
and
created
the
first
version
of
question
ai
No
beautiful
UI
just
two
text
boxes
left
and
right
Then
I
realized
the
bottlenecks
that
I'm
hitting
and
thought
of
just
learning
full
stack
with
the
latest
and
greatest
tech
Spent
six
months
and
fully
ported
question
to
modern
tech
stack
For
Supermeme
since
I
knew
the
pain
of
growing
a
solo
startup
I
wanted
to
take
a
different
route
So
I
partnered
with
a
full
stack
developer
I'm
the
AI
guy
and
there
is
another
marketer
that
worked
out
well
About
a
year
year
and
a
half
before
I
took
up
a
full
time
job
as
well
and
I'm
quite
happy
that
it
all
worked
out
Before
we
finish
talking
about
how
Ramshree
built
his
two
projects
I
do
want
to
highlight
highlight
something
important
You
don't
need
a
massive
budget
to
build
a
good
business
but
you
do
need
to
know
what
people
are
searching
for
That's
why
we're
excited
to
partner
with
SEMrush
SEMrush
is
an
all
in
one
marketing
platform
trusted
by
over
10
million
users
from
indie
makers
to
global
brands
It
helps
you
understand
exactly
what
your
audience
wants
so
you
can
build
something
smarter
and
market
better
Here's
how
to
use
it
in
three
quick
steps
Start
a
free
seven
day
trial
using
the
link
below
There's
no
credit
card
required
Use
the
keyword
magic
tool
which
has
over
26
6
billion
keywords
to
see
what
people
are
already
searching
for
in
your
niche
Then
spy
on
your
competitors
track
traffic
and
uncover
gaps
where
your
next
big
idea
could
thrive
Most
people
think
SEMrush
is
just
for
SEO
but
it's
so
much
more
You
can
use
it
to
validate
new
ideas
create
content
that
ranks
and
even
find
paid
keywords
your
competitors
are
sleeping
on
So
if
you're
serious
about
building
products
that
people
actually
want
start
with
SEMrush
Just
click
the
first
link
in
the
description
to
grab
your
free
trial
All
right
let's
get
back
to
the
video
talk
about
ideas
You
have
two
successful
ideas
I
imagine
you've
had
some
that
haven't
worked
out
How
did
you
find
these
ideas
and
generally
how
do
you
think
about
finding
ideas
that
are
worth
building
In
short
to
fit
it
in
a
framework
get
manual
tasks
that
people
currently
pay
for
which
could
be
significantly
enhanced
or
substituted
by
existing
or
imminent
generative
AI
That's
where
the
key
is
So
let's
take
for
example
question
ai
back
in
2020
The
first
thing
that
we
identified
was
large
tech
companies
and
publishing
companies
do
a
lot
of
quiz
creation
We
saw
that
there's
potential
here
but
AI
wasn't
there
yet
to
deliver
automated
quiz
creation
from
text
but
we
could
foresee
that
this
quiz
generation
with
AI
could
grow
significantly
in
the
next
few
years
So
that
was
our
insight
You
should
always
keep
a
tab
on
where
generative
AI
is
headed
so
that
you
can
identify
new
business
use
cases
that
the
new
AI
technology
can
unlock
which
was
previously
not
possible
or
complex
or
costly
That's
cool
Okay
Well
let's
talk
about
growth
because
you
know
a
lot
of
these
AI
apps
are
getting
built
now
Anybody
can
build
anything
now
but
the
next
piece
is
getting
attention
getting
distribution
You
have
over
a
million
people
using
one
of
your
apps
Tell
me
about
how
you've
approached
growth
and
how
you
got
your
first
users
and
grew
the
business
Build
distribution
before
building
a
product
By
distribution
I
mean
write
about
stuff
that
interests
you
or
what
you're
working
on
For
example
for
question
before
even
building
the
product
I
used
to
write
a
lot
of
blogs
about
quiz
generation
create
some
videos
on
YouTube
things
like
that
Every
single
day
I
used
to
show
up
on
LinkedIn
write
about
stuff
that
I'm
working
on
Both
question
ai
and
supermeme
ai
even
before
hitting
any
virality
we
completely
built
them
in
public
Sometimes
I
used
to
get
10
likes
sometimes
100
likes
400
likes
So
the
algorithm
keeps
changing
all
the
time
but
consistency
matters
a
lot
That's
how
I
found
even
co
founders
for
my
app
They
saw
my
posts
and
we
just
got
together
So
I
would
say
the
biggest
thing
was
social
media
founder
led
content
sharing
That's
how
we
got
all
of
our
first
users
iterated
on
initial
MVPs
that
we
built
After
that
we
launched
on
Product
Hunt
and
luckily
with
the
initial
set
of
users
who
were
our
champions
through
our
social
media
they
helped
us
And
also
the
virality
factor
of
AI
Meme
Generator
got
us
to
number
one
on
Product
Hunt
on
the
launch
day
for
Supermeme
Cool
I
like
that
Let's
get
a
little
bit
more
technical
I
want
to
hear
about
how
you
build
stuff
because
you're
doing
this
on
the
side
and
you
must
know
a
lot
of
different
cool
tech
and
how
you
built
this
business
So
walk
me
through
your
tech
stack
and
the
tools
and
languages
you've
learned
and
you've
used
to
build
out
this
business
It's
Next
js
for
primary
app
development
So
full
stack
framework
that's
based
on
JavaScript
for
backend
primarily
Superbase
For
landing
pages
et
cetera
we
have
been
using
TypeDream
just
to
build
no
code
landing
pages
and
do
quick
rapid
SEO
changes
And
there's
quite
a
lot
of
heavy
development
with
AI
assisted
coding
tools
like
Windsurf
This
is
our
current
tech
stack
And
on
that
same
note
walk
me
through
some
of
the
costs
and
margins
How
much
does
it
cost
to
run
this
business
What
are
the
margins
look
like
I
would
say
we
operate
at
a
70
to
75
profit
margin
The
biggest
cost
is
mostly
APIs
whether
it
is
API
APIs
from
OpenAI
Anthropic
The
other
thing
is
that
we
have
no
employees
aside
the
founders
that
helps
us
keep
the
cost
minimal
Cool
I
like
that
Let's
go
over
to
a
little
bit
more
of
a
personal
notes
You're
running
two
successful
side
projects
You
got
a
full
time
job
You
got
a
family
What
does
a
typical
day
in
the
life
look
like
for
someone
like
you
So
my
typical
day
starts
at
like
7
30
a
m
where
I
wake
up
get
my
kid
dressed
up
and
I
drop
him
to
school
By
9
30
I'm
usually
free
I
have
a
treadmill
at
home
so
I
do
some
walking
and
then
catching
up
on
some
AI
news
12
30
I
pick
up
my
kid
and
we
have
some
home
cooked
lunch
That's
still
like
2
p
m
Between
2
to
5
30
p
m
is
where
I
do
bulk
of
my
full
time
job
work
After
that
I
have
my
dinner
with
family
And
if
there
are
any
urgent
pending
tasks
I
allocate
an
hour
from
like
9
30
to
10
30
or
11
p
m
to
do
work
related
stuff
Otherwise
I
just
watch
some
TV
or
documentaries
and
go
to
bed
by
11
30
or
latest
by
12
Usually
I
don't
pick
up
my
SAS
related
stuff
daily
I
just
dedicate
Saturday
afternoon
usually
2
to
5
p
m
2
to
4
p
m
That's
when
I
have
like
one
or
two
hours
to
do
some
feature
updates
or
just
do
some
housekeeping
tasks
for
the
SAS
apps
That's
cool
The
last
question
that
we
ask
if
you
could
sit
on
Ramsuri's
shoulder
when
he
was
just
starting
out
trying
to
find
that
first
app
idea
what
advice
would
you
give
him
Think
like
a
builder
from
day
one
And
in
today's
age
it
is
very
much
possible
to
adapt
that
mindset
and
build
something
quick
For
example
even
if
you
want
to
do
white
coding
there
are
tools
like
Lovable
Bold
new
Even
if
you
want
to
just
purely
use
chained
workflow
app
then
there
are
automations
that
you
can
create
with
tools
like
Make
or
N8n
or
Zapier
etc
Right
So
whenever
you
have
an
issue
or
you
come
across
an
idea
that
can
be
built
build
a
minimum
viable
prototype
of
it
using
these
tools
The
other
thing
is
to
follow
tech
updates
very
closely
because
you
could
identify
new
use
cases
that
can
be
built
on
top
of
them
But
the
biggest
thing
is
to
aim
for
solving
a
problem
by
chaining
and
stitching
together
tools
and
products
that
are
out
there
than
spending
months
in
R
D
That's
very
crucial
All
right
Thank
you
Ramshree
for
coming
on
to
start
our
story
I
love
what
you
build
Keep
building
more
stuff
and
hope
to
have
you
back
on
in
the
future
Thanks
so
much
Pat
And
it's
my
pleasure
to
be
absolutely
here
Thanks
Ramshree
for
coming
on
the
channel
I
personally
love
his
approach
to
building
lots
of
different
side
projects
not
taking
the
huge
leap
of
quitting
your
full
time
job
and
having
a
good
lifestyle
businesses
and
still
tinkering
and
having
fun
and
building
stuff
I
personally
love
that
If
you're
wanting
to
build
something
similar
specifically
a
side
projects
then
check
out
Starter
Story
Build
I
put
a
link
in
the
description
But
basically
in
12
days
you'll
come
up
with
an
idea
build
it
launch
it
and
have
a
real
life
production
app
by
the
end
This
is
for
anyone
actually
serious
about
building
stuff
and
potentially
creating
an
app
that
could
change
your
life
I'll
put
the
link
in
the
description
if
you
want
to
check
it
out
But
otherwise
I'll
see
you
guys
in
the
next
one
Peace
