Josh Pigford is the founder of Baremetrics, a subscription analysis platform he bootstrapped and launched in 2013.

The subscription analysis platform has evolved swiftly from a little side project to something utilized by thousands of organizations and now generates over $1 million in revenue each year.

Josh had an intriguing business path that led to the creation of Baremetrics. Before Baremetrics, he created two other saas products in the survey spaces, and now he wanted to develop a tool to help businesses solve a particular problem.

The data analytics firm works with Stripe to measure recurring income, churn, and average revenue per user.

After one year of operating, in December 2014, the company had close to $27,000 in recurring monthly revenue and 280-300 users with 6 full-time employees. Within five months, Baremetrics went from making $0 to $5,000 per month.

Josh started this business as a little passion project, and it took him around seven to eight days of coding to build the first version of the software. Now, it has grown into a successfully running SaaS business with 18 people working with the company.

This founder has worked on 62 projects, including popular projects like maybe, laser tweets, vibe wars, etc.

In November 2020, Josh sold Baremetrics to Xenon for $4 million, and there was no provision for earn-out. He walked away with $3.7 million in cash.
